- Pick up at your accommodation in or near to Benidorm around 9.30 am.
- A 60 minutes drive to the mountain to the top of Mt. Aitana where you’ll be fitted with a safety helmet, receive a detailed safety talk and be allocated a bike.
- Then a bike ride of about 9 kilometers to the village of Penaguila stopping on the way to ensure your comfort. Have a drink of fresh spring water while the bikes are loaded onto the trailer.
- Another downhill glide from the highest point of the ride into the village of Alcoleja.
- Drive up to the restaurant of the Safari Aitana Park for lunch at approx. 12.45 pm. Lunch is not included into the price.
- The afternoon ride leads you past the village of Sella where the Bike Ride ends.
- Into the local bar for a beverage to celebrate your achievement and receive your certificate as proof that you’ve ridden 30 kilometers through the Costa Blanca mountains.
- To finish, we drive you back to your accommodation arriving at about 4.00 pm.
Pick-Up is included in the price if you are staying within the following areas: Benidorm, La Cala, Albir, Alfaz del Pi, La Nucia, Villajoiosa, Orxeta, Finestrat.
In case you are staying outside the covered area, you could either arrange your own transport and meet us within the covered area – bus / tram station or designated meeting points -, or you could book the transport with us. Different surcharges apply for pick-ups from Altea, Calpe and the Alicante Area if the transport is booked via us directly - chose "THE DOWNHILL BIKE RIDE - ALICANTE" if staying in Alicante or "THE DOWNHILL BIKE RIDE - CALPE" if staying in Calpe.
Clients on the ride should wear closed shoes. We allow us to ask clients to go back to their rooms to change their footwear if it's not appropriate for the ride, i.e. flip-flops.
From October to March it can be a bit chilly up in the Sierra Aitana. We are able to provide jumpers, gloves, scarfs and beanies on the ride. However, we highly recommend to wear closed shoes, long trousers, a jacket, fleece or jumper.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic we advice you to bring your own mask as it is obligatory to wear a mask on the transfer to the start of the excursion and back to your accommodation as well as in all facilities visited during the excursions, i.e. toilets, restaurants, bars.
The price for The Downhill Bike Ride includes the bike ride, transport, bicycle, safety helmet and pick-up from Benidorm, La Cala, Albir, Alfaz del Pi, La Nucia, Villajoiosa, Orxeta, Finestrat.
We, furthermore, provide natural spring water during the ride.
The price for The Downhill Bike Ride does not include lunch. You could either bring a packed lunch or have lunch at the Safari Aitana Park. There the lunch is between 6-12 €.

* If someone in your party is not able to cycle for any reason, we offer the possibility to accompany you in one of our minibusses. Our minibusses are always with the group and a passenger is able to join the group on every stop to listen to the interesting information of the guides or to join in group photos. You are able to book for a passenger online as well.
